Intensive summer course in Finnish language and culture

The course for summer 2013 is being planned.

  • Time:
  • Location: Jyväskylä.
  • Target group: Every year 40-60 people from over 15 countries around the world take part in the course. The participants represent different age groups (least 17 years old). We offer instruction in Finnish for both beginners and advanced students, as well as experienced students (A1-C2). The size of the group is max. 15 students.
  • Content: The course consist of five contact lessons a day (5 x 45 minutes).  The total length is 80 lessons  (6ECTS). There are no classes during the weekends. The lessons will be given mainly in Finnish, but English will be resorted to if necessary.
  • Freetime: We also organize a versatile recreational activities and experiences evenings and weekends. For instance a tour and visits to see the attractions of the city, a cruise on the beautiful Lake Päijänne, open-air dances, sauna evenings. Part of the programme is free of charge.

    Jyväskylä is a middle-sized town (almost 130 000 inhabitants)in the beautiful lake district of Central Finland. It is within easy access from for example Helsinki. More information about Jyväskylä: www.jyvaskyla.fi/info .
