Options for accommodation

Intensive Summer Course in Finnish Language and Culture does not include accomodation. Here are a few suggestions on where to find affordable accomodation during the course.

    The price includes buffet breakfast, WiFi-connection, parking space, sauna times separately for men and women, cleaning and 24/7 front desk.

Accommodation in Kortepohja´s Student Village
Soihtu Stay
Stay in Kortepohja student village's shared apartments (R- and S-houses)
Price: 452 €/ person (Reservations are binding!)

Participants can reserve accommodation from Soihtu Stay in the apartments of Kortepohja Student Village. There are secured a tentative allotment of apartments / guest rooms in the Kortepohja Student Village, a well-known and popular student housing facility in the lush and culturally renowned neighbourhood of Kortepohja (about 2.5 kilometres / 1.5 miles from the main campus and the city centre).

Each participant will have a study-bedroom with a shared kitchenette and bathroom. There is basic furniture in the rooms and they also include a blanket, pillow, bed linen and towels, and basic kitchenware. Also included in the room price is the possibility to use the Rentukka gym, sauna and laundry room Bubble.

The price for the entire stay (the 3rd of July until the 23rd of July) is 452.00 €.

Soihtu Stay follows special Summer School terms and conditions considering bookings, payments and cancellations. If you want to reserve accommodation from Soihtu Stay, make your reservation in the online booking system (link will be sent later to registered participants).

The booking is secured by immediate payment via the most usual bank cards and online banking accounts. The recipient of the payment is Jyväskylän yliopiston ylioppilaskunta (The Student Union of the University of Jyväskylä) - the owner of Soihtu Stay Summer hotel business and the apartments of Kortepohja Student Village.

The reservation can be made between the 23rd of May and 19th of June 2022. Soihtu Stay is not obligated to accommodate a customer with a special summer school price after the reserving time has expired.
